How to make deep fry batter?
Ingredients1. Chickpea flour (Besan): 1½ Cup 2. Salt: 1 teaspoon or to taste 3. Cayenne: ¼ teaspoon or to taste 4. Cumin ground: ½ teaspoon 5. Water: 1 Cup 7. Cilantro: 1 Tables spoon. Wash, Pick leafs discard stems, Chop 8. Oil for drying.
Method1. Mix chickpea flour, salt, cayenne and cumin together. 2. Add water to make it into a stiff batter. Make sure Besan is well consumed with no lumps. 3. Stir in onions and cilantro. Let it rest 15 to 30 minute. FryingYou have two options, fry in a deep fryer or in a skillet. Deep Fryer method1. Preheat deep fryer to 350º F. 2. Drop a tablespoon of mixture. Cook for 3 minutes as dumpling. 3. Remove the dumpling. Flatten it with a spatula forming it into a patty. 4. Deep fry patty till dark brown about 2 minutes.
Skillet Method.1. Add oil to a skillet about 1" high. Heat oil to hot 2. Drop a tablespoon of mixture. Press down the mixture with a turner. Cook about minutes till brown 3. Turn over the patty and fry another 2 minutes, or till brown. |
