Mangoda Mung Bean Dumpling RecipeThis is a deep fried Dumpling made of skinless split Moong Dal and spinach
Ingredients1. Moong Dal (Decorticated split Mung beans): 2 Cups 2. Onion: 1 Peeled, finely chopped 3. Garlic Cloves: 4, Peeled and minced 4. Serrano: 2 Washed and finely chopped 5. Spinach leafs: ½ Cup washed and chopped 6. Salt: ¼ teaspoon or to taste 7. Baking soda: Pinch 8. Canola oil for frying
Method1. Soak Moong Dal in water at room temperature for about 4 hours. Darin and rinse. 2. Puree Moong Dal in an electric blender with minimum of water. 3. Mix all ingredient except oil to make a firm batter. 4. Preheat Deep Fryer to 350º F 5. Put a Tablespoon of batter to form a dumpling one at a time. Deep fry till golden brown. It will take about 5 minutes. |
