Homemade French Fries RecipeChoose meaty potatoes. I like Idaho Baking potatoes. It is important to par fry and then finish fry for crispy exterior.
Step1 Prepare Potatoes.Ingredients1. Potatoes: 2 Pounds 2. White vinegar: 1 Tablespoon 3. Water: ½ Gallon Method1. Prepare water vinegar solution. 2. Wash. Peel (Optional) 3. Cut potatoes ¼" thick to the length of the potato. Put them in water vinegar solution. It will prevent potatoes from getting dark. Step 3: Par fry French Fries1. Preheat Deep fryer to 350º F 2. Paper towel dry potatoes to minimize sputtering. Fill about half the basket. Fry for 3 minutes. These are now par-fried prawns. Let them cool till they have come to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator or freeze them. Step 4: Finish fry French fries1. Preheat Deep fryer to 350º F. 2. Fry par fried French Fries for 3 to 4 minutes till golden brown. |
