Battered Fish Pakora RecipeWe will use Maida (All-purpose flour) for batter and Cod for fish. You can use any white fish. Fried twice to get crispy batter
Step1 Prepare Cod.Ingredients1. Cod: 1 Pound 2. Salt: 1 teaspoon 3. Lime Juice: 1 Tablespoon Method1. Cut Fish into ¼" thick, 2"x2" pieces. 2. Cover with salt and lime juice. Let it rest for fifteen minutes 3. Wash and Pat dry with paper towel Step 2. Prepare a light batterStep 3: Par fry Cod1. Preheat Deep fryer to 350º F 2. Dip fish pieces one at a time in the batter and introduce to the hot oil. Fry for 3 minutes. Continue till all the fish pieces have been fried. These are now par-fried. Let them cool till they have come to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator or freeze them. Step 4: Finish fry battered Cod1. Preheat Deep fryer to 350º F. 2. Bring par fried fish to room temperature if stored in refrigerator or the freezer. 3. Fry par fried fish for 3 to 4 minutes till the batter is golden brown. |
