Bread Crumbs Recipe1. Choose one loaf of firm white bread. Traditionally, two day old or stale bread is used. It should not be moldy 2. Arrange bread slices on a cookie sheet in a single layer. 3. Preheat oven to 250º F. 4. Bake bread for 20 minutes. 5. Let the bread cool. Snap it into small pieces by hand. 6. Put a few broken pieces about ½ cup at a time in electric blender or a food processor. Don't over process. You want very coarse crumbles. 7. Transfer to an airtight container and store in refrigerator for about 2 months or freeze for about 9 months. |
