Bhel Puri Healthy Quick RecipeAvoid potatoes, add vegetables nuts and dried fruits. Replace chutney with oil lemon dressing
IngredientsBhel Poori Mix1. Red Onions: ½ cup diced Peeled and about ¼" diced 2. Plum Tomatoes: ½ cup diced Washed, cored, water and seeds removed, ¼" diced 3. Green bell Peppers: ½ cup diced Washed cored and diced 4. Sweetened dry cranberries: ¼ Cup 5. Slivered sliced Almonds: 2 Tablespoons 6. Canned Garbanzo beans (Chickpeas): ½ cup Rinsed and Drained 7. Fresh Cilantro: ¼ Cup chopped 8. Serrano: 1 Chopped Washed. Remove seeds and membrane to reduce heat 9. Brown Puffed Rice: 3 cups 10. Corn Tortilla Chips: 1 cup Broken Dressing1. Sea salt: ¼ teaspoon or to taste 2. Cayenne pepper: ¼ teaspoon or to taste 3. Dry ginger powder: ¼ teaspoon 4. Garlic powder: ¼ teaspoon 5. Onion powder: ¼ teaspoon 6. Brown sugar: 1 Tablespoon 7. Lemon Juice: 2 Tablespoon 8. Canola oil: 2 Tablespoons
Method1. Combine items 1 through 8. Toss well 2. Just before service, add Puffed rice and Tortilla chips . Toss 3. Make dressing Mix dry ingredients. Add lemon juice and whisk. Add oil and whish 4. Pour dressing over Bhel Puri mix and toss. |
