Amritsar Fish Pakora RecipeThis is a dish from Amritsar (Punjab) sold by street hawkers. You can use any type of fresh water or salt water fish. The fish is cleaned and cut in to about 2" filets. The marinated fish is dipped in wet batter and deep fried. You can use serve it with any type of Chutney.
Ingredients1. Fish: 2 Pounds Marinate1. Lime Juice: ¼ Cup 2. Ginger finely chopped: 1 teaspoon 3. Ground Black Pepper: 1 teaspoon 4. Salt: 1 teaspoon Batter1. Besan (Chickpea flour): 1 cup 2. Finely chopped ginger bits: 1 teaspoon 3. Minced Garlic: 2 teaspoon 4. Ajwain (Carom): 1 teaspoon 5. Ground Cayenne: 1 teaspoon 6. Crushed Red Pepper: 1 teaspoon 7. Water: ½ Cup 8. Baking Powder: 1 teaspoon 9. Salt: ¾ teaspoon
