Prostates

As we grow older, the testosterone level drops, estrogen and dihydrotestosterone rise. This results in enlarged prostates (BPH).

Anti oxidants that are anti-inflammatory are found to be most useful.

Lycopene

The red color in the tomatoes and watermelon is a result of Lycopene. Lycopene is a Carotenoid. Good sources of Lycopene are: Red ripe tomatoes, Apricots, Guava, Watermelon, and pink grapefruit. Two tablespoons of tomato sauce per day is very helpful

Selenium

Selenium helps reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer. Brazil nuts are a rich source. Selenium is also found in Paddy rice, oats, and seafood.

Zinc

The prostates store zinc. The Zinc level declines as we suffer from prostate cancer or BPH. The pumpkin seeds are a rich source of zinc. Zinc is also found in wheat, chicken, and crabs.
